Politics:
The 1950s laid down the foundation for many crises threatening the world today: Korean War- put the conflict between capitalism and communism into belief that North and South Korea are separate halves. This upset the government because the US doesn’t want communism to exist in the world. Vietnam War- most infamous and universally military engagements in history because of the issue with communism around this time. Warsaw Pact- group of Eastern European communist countries formed this pact which is a mutual defense treaty to help negate the West’s power of Europe. |
